Timing couldn't be worse when my lower back decided it was sick and tired of my bad posture. For the past week and a half I've suffered a severe case of low back pain, which wouldn't allow me to sit for more than 15 minutes. After an unhealthy dose of pain killers and some physical therapy, I'm now able to sit for at least 30 minutes at a time.

Wedding plans are coming along, though not as nicely as I would like. More than ever, I now understand eloping and it sometimes feel like a great choice. Weddings involve so many people and expenses that it's inevitable to feel overwhelmed. At least I finally found a dress I like and I feel slightly relieved. And no, no pictures of the dress before the big day, so here's a picture of a cat in a wedding dress.

Regarding Clarion's Write-a-thon, I have good and bad news. My back problems have definitely slowed down my writing and I'm behind schedule. On the positive side, I've already finished one short story and will begin another one soon. Theanks to my generous donor, Jeannette, I was able to join a writers group (Team Weaveworld) and raise some money for Clarion.

If you want to read excerpts of this first story, called "Empathic Mutation", you can visit my writer's profile and Team Weaveworld's blog (donations are still accepted). Thank you all for your patience and hopefully I'll be fully recovered soon.
Take care,
Sarah
I read the excerpt and now I want more *starts chanting* more more more more more!
:P
Oh, and I'm sorry about your back :( But hey! If you can produce something like that while medicated and under a huge deal of pain... well, let's just say that you will rock the literacy world once you are all healthy and clear minded :D
Keep it up!
Thanks Fairywitht! Hopefully I'll be able to start and finish another story soon. Thank you for your support!
