After a very long hiatus, The Good Meal is back on business (Hooray!). I've been MIA for two months now, but I'm finally back and starting to get settled in my new home.

As some of you remember, I got married last November and the months prior to the wedding were pretty much insane. There were a gazillion things to be done and too little time, so writing had to be postponed. After the wedding we went on a wonderful honeymoon to Cancún and returned to Venezuela to move into our new place.

For about a month or so we didn't have Internet access and it was awful. When I was finally able to connect to the world, the Holidays were upon us and most of the time was spent with family or gift shopping. In the mean time, our apartment had to be thoroughly cleaned and organized. Needless to say, time has been scarce.

There are still many things to do in our home, but I'm slowly getting used to the routine. It's been tiresome, but I'm grateful that we have a roof over our heads to begin our life together. It's a blessing that not many people have and, in spite of the work and lack of furniture, I'm quite happy in my new home. I promise I'll write more extensively about the wedding, honeymoon and new home in future posts.
Regarding this blog, I have high hopes about it. Now that I'm the sole master of the kitchen, I'll be able to cook and experiment as much as I want, which will translate (hopefully) into many blog posts. In addition, I've joined a few food blogging communities on G+ and I know I'll learn a lot and meet lots of people from around the world.
2013 promises to be a year of changes and beginnings, at least for me. To all of you, my wonderful readers, I hope that this year brings you happiness and growth. Thanks for reading,
